In a group setting, Ms. Benson teaches each actor on an INDIVIDUAL basis, often working the scenes with them herself. She uses the style that works best for each actor, always striving to bring out the brilliance, wildness, freedom and risk taking in their work.
Through cold readings from film scenes, Ms. Benson will bring out different sides of YOUR personality. You will learn how to take physical and emotional direction as you work the scene. Like being on the set, you will do take after take. There is no such thing as an actor failing, just making higher choices.
Expect a workout as this is NOT a"one scene a week class." Over the weekend, you will work numerous times each day while also learning from watching others work. In addition to cold reading scenes, you will work on memorized scenes, group scenes, working in between the lines, improv, blocking, one liners, auditioning and more. The workshop environment is very professional and disciplined.
